Are you a church tech volunteer? Maybe you should know about this:

Announcing ChurchTechMatters.com – A
website for tech volunteers written by tech volunteers.

February 13, 2009

Church Tech Matters is a site that Jim Walton started in October, 2004 and the purpose was to equip the church to effectively use technology to reach people for Christ.  Over time, the site grew to become known as a valuable resource to both church staff and volunteer, technical and non-technical.  For the most part, Church Tech Matters has been the result of Jim’s experiences and observations as he has served in a volunteer technical leadership role in 2 different churches plus having done some consulting along the way too.

After doing this for over 4 years, Jim is excited to make an announcement that will broaden the reach and relevance of Church Tech Matters.  Jim is now leading a core team of dedicated, talented and passionate tech volunteers from around the world as they write about their experiences and reach out to an even larger audience.

The purpose is still the same as it has been from the very beginning, to equip the church to effectively use technology to reach people for Christ, but  Church Tech Matters is now a site dedicated to the church tech volunteer written by church tech volunteers.

Please join us as we begin this next chapter of the journey here at Church Tech Matters.  There are going to be new features and resources and we are busy working on many different ways to take this experience to the next level and to create more of a community for church tech volunteers. Initially, the newest addition to the site is a forum, a place where you can ask questions, answer questions,
interact with the  Church Tech Matters authors and more.

Jim is definitely still involved in Church Tech Matters, but he has stepped back and let go of the reins, so to speak, to allow this site to become more than it ever has been.

We invite you to do any number of the following: subscribe to the RSS feed , subscribe via e-mail , follow us on Twitter(coming soon), join our FB group (which is currently having some new life breathed into it), join our LinkedIn group(coming soon), join the forum.

Please join us as we kick off this site for tech volunteers written by tech volunteers.
